How to Create an Invoice

  1. Go to Data → Commercial → Invoices
  2. Click + New Invoice
  3. Select the Customer and optionally link to an Order
  4. Add Line Items with quantities and amounts
  5. Set the Due date and Payment terms
  6. Click Save as Draft, then Issue when ready
  1. Open the completed Order
  2. Click Create Invoice
  3. Line items are pre-filled from the Order
  4. Adjust if needed and click Issue
  1. Open the original Invoice
  2. Click Create Credit Note
  3. Adjust the line items to reflect what is being credited
  4. Issue the credit note

An Invoice carries its own status as it moves from draft to settled:

Draft → Sent → Partially Paid → Paid — and may also be Overdue, Void (cancelled), or Credited (offset by a Credit Note).

Payment is tracked separately, so you can see where money stands at a glance:

Unpaid → Partially Paid → Paid — plus Overdue, Refunded, or Written Off.
