How to Preview and Publish a Custom App
Previewing
Section titled “Previewing”While editing, click Preview to open a live preview. The preview runs with your credentials and accesses live platform data.
Use the preview to test interactions, check layout, and verify dark/light mode behavior.
Publishing
Section titled “Publishing”When the app is ready:
- Click Publish
- The app becomes immediately available to users with access
Published apps appear in the appropriate location by Kind:
- Page → left sidebar
- Dashboard → Dashboards tab list
- Kiosk → kiosk device interface
- Job View → Job detail panel
Version history
Section titled “Version history”Every publish creates an immutable version snapshot. Roll back to any previous version instantly if something breaks.

Working copy vs. published
Section titled “Working copy vs. published”The editor always works on the working copy — a draft invisible to users until published. Publishing the working copy creates a new version and makes it live.
